Why I am a Franchisee?
As a young adult I commenced my career as a commercial cleaner dedicating 7 years of my life to providing my clients with a professional service. My work ethos and a positive attitude afforded me the leverage to enter the medical and hygiene industry as a head-hunted individual who delivered excellence in activities I was presented with. During my 17 years within this industry that I encountered and provided hygiene services to MCS. After 3 years of providing this service to MCS I was enticed by their Managing Director to become a full-time employee.
The main reasons I transferred to MCS was the opportunity to engage in a new challenging endeavour with the added bonus of becoming a franchisee. Yes, I had to understand the processes and standards MCS underpins its services with but I also had to evaluate myself as to the traits I possessed and had utilised for the furtherance of someone else’s business.
This self-analysis was rather daunting as I had to be critical of my skill-set both from a personal perspective but also from an external one using colleagues, friends and family members who provided me with a perception of a strong, reliable and resilient individual. A person who is flexible in problem solving, willing to engage with menial or leadership tasks to ensure all parties reaped the reward.
Armed with so much positivism I resigned from my secure waged position and started working with MCS. My position is unique because I commenced as an Area Sales Manager prior to securing my own territory. What should have been a nightmare for setting up my VAT, PAYE, Limited Company Name, Bank Account, working capital and accountancy services were relatively easy as I had the support of MCS in negotiating the hurdles that lay before me.
I am happy to say I am now fully operational and enjoying the benefits of working for myself. I awake knowing what is before me as I have direct links with my site supervisors and am engaged in promoting my own business and securing new clients. Questions that arise are fielded by MCS who are approachable, friendly and above all professional in their dealings.
In closing, I would recommend to anyone returning for their annual holidays, sick leave or generally fed up with their current status quo should consider MCS an ideal partnership and as a pathway to inner health, peace and ultimately wealth.
